+ BIG BLUE MARBLE SEEKS ARTISTS PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE AWARENESS

"Big Blue Marble is an environmental non-profit that is headed to the Playa! We have already been vetted through the Media Mecca approval process and we are headed to Burning Man to film interviews with artists looking at the connection between environmental awareness and creativity. BBM seeks to educate others on environmental issues through art and creative mediums. We are interested in looking at the positive change that comes through Burning Man, the art created, and the diversity of forms this takes.
We are making a call out to artists who use their craft to create sustainable awareness. Recycled art, Spoken Word, Sculpture, Visual Painting, Photography, or Art expressed simply through the way you live your Life - whatever your form may be, we want to hear from you!
Our goal is not to simply document this event; we want to hear the personal stories of those who come, why they come and why Burning Man has turned into a movement, branching off into regional networks and for some people become an intricate part of their lifestyle. The project is an interactive project that is about connecting people. It is about showing people the power of community and art, and how both individual and collective action can make a very important environmental difference. We are looking to talk to people who are both environmentally aware and are using their art or daily actions to make an environmental and/or communal difference.
